Consigning through a gallery vs. auction houses

We regularly buy and sell artworks from private collections by established and well known artists such as Asger Jorn, Carl Henning Pedersen, Alechinsky, Robert Jacobsen, Bengt Lindström and Walasse Ting

When selling through an auction house, there are a few things to keep in mind. Artworks usually need to be consigned four to six months before the auction takes place. Even if your piece sells to the highest bidder, it can take another four to six weeks for you to receive payment. On top of that, fees (including transportation) can add up to 25-30% of the hammer price, and around 40% of items remain unsold.
